Ginologist Alcohol Free London Dry Botanicals: Peach & Basil Smash Mocktail
Makes 2 mocktails
A refreshing and fruity mocktail that blends the sweetness of ripe peaches, the zesty tang of lemon, and the aromatic freshness of basil. Ginologist Alcohol-Free London Dry Botanicals adds depth and complexity, while a splash of tonic water provides a crisp finish. Served in a Tajín-rimmed glass, this drink delivers a mild, spicy kick that perfectly balances its natural sweetness.
Ingredients:
- 120ml peach purée
- 8–12 fresh basil leaves
- 120ml Ginologist London Dry (alcohol-free)
- 30ml fresh lemon juice
- 30ml simple syrup
- Ice
- Tonic water (to top up)
- Tajín (for rimming the glasses)
Method:
- Run a lemon wedge around the rim of each glass, then dip into Tajín to coat evenly. Set aside.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the peach purée and basil leaves. Gently muddle to release the basil’s aroma and flavour.
- Add Ginologist London Dry (alcohol-free), lemon juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
- Fill the prepared glasses with fresh ice, then strain the mixture evenly between them. Top up with tonic water and stir gently.
- Garnish with a fresh basil sprig or a peach slice (optional). Serve immediately and savour every sip!
Alternative for Tajín: For a milder option with a smoky depth, mix smoked paprika and sea salt to rim the glass. Alternatively, sumac—readily available at most grocery stores—offers a tangy, citrusy note that beautifully complements the cocktail’s flavours.
